Our Artist of the Month for June stepped up at the last moment when we had someone miss a deadline for submission. It was a happy accident as Mr. Jacobs is a frequent visitor to our comment section on the blog but we've never had the pleasure to meet him in person. It turns out he's quite an interesting person and is the perfect artist to feature for June as Father's Day is coming up this month. Be prepared for a little heart melting moment when you read his answer to question seven... We needed a tissue when we read it.

This month's artist of the month is Joe Fiorello. Joe is a local indie film director. His latest project, Love Stalk will be getting it's Hong Kong premiere on April 24th. Joe is very helpful to other artists in the community and has a lot of passion for his work. Because of his go getter attitude- we have chosen him as our Artist of the Month. We came across Miss Palmer who is a local actress in both film and stage. She embodies the melting pot of Hong Kong, speaking several languages and knowing acting techniques from around the globe. Artist of the Month-December-Shen Jie1-12-12

This month's Artist of the Month is Shen Jie of the Hong Kong Ballet. Recently seen in Castrati in the Ballet Soiree, you can catch him this month in The Nutcracker! Ballet is known for being one of the most demanding of the arts disciplines. You can hear all about his grueling process in Question 8. We've been wanting to feature a Hong Kong dancer for a while as AoM and Shen Jie seemed like the perfect candidate.

Jennifer Fong is a local actress is has become known in town for her brilliant comedic timing, flexibility as a performer and flare for designing dramatic costumes. You might have seen her in Jonathan Rand's, Check Please as part of Aurora Theatre's Champagne & Cigarettes back in September. You can catch her next month in Vixens Burlesque next cabaret project, The Christmas Extravaganza. If you meet her once- you fall in love with her dazzling personality, great work ethic and her bravery as a performer. Despite growing up as a very shy child, she's one of the least shy people I've ever met. And that's saying something in our business.
