Review- The Pianist- Hong Kong Arts Festival13-3-16

Let me start by saying this show is absolutely hilarious and must NOT be missed. If you haven’t got a ticket stop reading this (but please come back to it later), go and get yourself one. I know this is back to front, but I can’t stress to you how entertaining the show is in any other way than by saying that if I could I’d give the show an 8 out of 5.

Review- Opus- Hong Kong Arts Festival12-3-16

The opening scene of Opus is beautifully staged. Four musicians stand in white and black. They begin playing. A black strap hangs from the ceiling and then a small girl comes out on stage and begins climbing the rope. She twists and turns. She flies through the air with the greatest of ease.

Review- La Verita (The Truth)- Hong Kong Arts Festival21-2-16

The Hong Kong Arts Festival is back! We are merely starting our dramatic journey in this 44th season and already its opening show is receiving three encores from its audience. I should know, I was one of them whistling in delight. The spectacular show in question is La Verita from the Compagnia Finzi Pasca and let me tell you this, it was a triumph.

Review- BRIEFS- Udderbelly27-1-16

BRIEFS is a self-proclaimed Circus, Drag, Burlesque Show that is a part of the ‘Udderbelly Festival’. These boys hail from Down Under but the Udderbelly is an international festival coming to Hong Kong from Edinburgh. They've been set up on the Central Harbourfront since December.

Review- CLOSE UP- Udderbelly20-1-16

This one-hour “circus” show is entitled CLOSE UP. It was then followed with the copy "See. Hear. Feel. Everything." and there was also something about it being a "glorious, chaotic abstraction" and "most intimate show" in the Udderbelly Festival programme. Who wouldn't be intrigued by that?

Review- Cirque Adrenaline- The Club24-12-15

If you need a reminder not to overindulge this Christmas or need some motivation to keep the new fitness regime you’ve vowed this New Years get yourself down to Cirque Adrenaline! Last night I attended the Gala Premiere of the ‘Death-Defying Extreme Circus’ and my goodness those performers were FIT!! They were agile, they’ve had stamina and their strength was unbelievable.

Review-Circo Veneziano-The Venetian8-1-15

You may have been to the Venetian many times before but never heard of this entertainment option. Circo Veneziano is a circus act that performs at the Venetian daily on a rotation and is free to attend for guests of the hotel. They also perform street acts in the shopping area of the hotel and provide full corporate shows for those that book them privately. They consist of three main acts: Cubo, Hand to Hand and Mago.
